WHY??? Someone on my FB feed just posted pics of how she elfed her ears!!! Is this popular?? I can't quite wrap my head around why someone would want to do this....please tell me this isn't an UO!

She literally had surgery to make her ears pointy! The pictures she posted have the stitches still in and everything.

I have heard of this before. I haven't seen it in person, but I thought it was as common knowledge as the guy turning himself into a tiger.

It's not super popular, but it does happen.

I know a guy with naturally pointy ears. We called him Spock though. I hope she likes Vulcan jokes.

You can buy realistic fake ones too. I think it's kind of cute but no way would I do it.

I didn't know that. Granted, I don't have any tats or piercings so I don't really roll with that culture so I wouldn't know. But that is good info.

If I decide to get a tat one day and I see face tats on display... I'm out!

Well, after stalking her page a little more...it doesn't appear to be a true surgeon but an "extreme body motification artist." I went to his page and there are people with snake tongues, hooks in their back, and all kinds of other weird shiiit I never realized existed......

I found several sites telling people not to do it themselves. Apparently lots of people cut, stitch, and reshape their ears themselves. 0.0
