The worst is DD's puzzle that randomly goes off. We'll be laying in bed, and hear "Z is for zebra." I hate it! And there's no way to turn it off. I want to put it in the attic, but MIL bought it and I feel like she'd get offended.

Haha, I was already dreading some of these types of gifts for next year! I'm pretty sure DH has already emailed the link to MIL (who has already been guilty of getting things like that for SIL's kids... and our cat)

Did anyone read the comments?  There was one woman who said that some kids get nothing for Xmas and the author should donate the toys she doesn't want...  Why is it that there is always at least one person out there with absolutely no sense of humor?

I love it.  I have a LOT of the same feelings, and I don't have any kids yet besides the one in my belly!

I was number 2 of 6 kids in my family, though, so I've had experience.   I once had a cute little white pony stuffed animal. Awesome except that if you squeezed it, it would whinny and make galloping noises for what felt like forever.  I used to accidentally kick it at the end of my bed in the middle of the night.  It was awful.

I plan on getting my kids building blocks and balls. Haha.

This was great! I have already told both sets of grandparents that they are not allowed to buy stuffed animals!  I remember having hundreds of them and not knowing what to do with them as I got older (I still have some at my parents that I'm not sure what to do with). I don't want to go through this with my kids. They can have a few that have some special meaning and that is all.
