Child care location?

I just wanted some input from other moms who have childcare. My baby is one week old and I'm in search of childcare when I return to work. I commute 30 miles to work one way. Should I look close to home or close to work? Any thoughts?

  • Close to home works for us.

  • I intentionally found close to work.  That way, my child spends more time with us, albeit in the car.  It also minimizes the hours at the daycare.  So, if your daycare closes at 6, you don't have to rush out of work at 5 to drive 30 miles.

I also chose a daycare closer to work because of pick up time (some days I would have to stay a little bit later at work, but daycare was only 10 minutes away).  Also if there was an emergency irvhe git sick and I had to pick him up I could go pick him up faster.  Another plus was I could pop in for lunch if I wanted to.

2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".
