1st Trimester

Already can't button pants!

I'm 7 weeks 5 days and I already can't button my pants! Is this normal? This is my first pregnancy. I really didn't think I'd already need to use a rubberband :P

  • Thanks for the posts!!! I will "embrace the bloating!!!"
  • Yeah I wish bloat didn't happen. I am also 7 weeks and am using those "as seen  on TV" things that make it look like your wearing layers.. I am spacing the name of them. But they are similar to the nice stretching band thing I got from a maternity store with my first child. BUT all the pain in the world.. labor too and is all worth it once the little one is born. Biggest forgiveness ever! =) To bad my mom likes to tell people how horrible labor was with me and said that what ever troubles I go through is pay back... lol shes silly. Congrats to all of us.

  • I'm also in that situation! I can't believe how much I've bloated either! Its driving me crazy! I've been using one of those belly band things and LOVE it! I also went out a couple pairs of maternity pants and can't believe how comfy they are! :D

  • I can't button my jeans, but they fit otherwise... so I just loop a hair tie in the button hole and loop the loop over the button. Works perfectly. I'm only 5 1/2 weeks, so hopefully I can get away with this through my first trimester.

  • I have had the same problem and it started around 7 weeks as well. I will be 12 weeks on Friday and people are already noticing my bump. I just ordered one of those tummy bands so I can keep my pants unbuttoned without anyone noticing!
