Spotting every 28 days instead of period?

Hi All -

I have just passed my first 3 months off of the BC pill. We haven't been using ovulation kits as I didn't want to put too much pressure on us.

Its been 86 days since I stopped and I have yet to have a full/regular period. Have had some spotting, very light/brown discharge, but almost doesn't even warrant a tampon. I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this? I certainly realize it could be 1 of many things, but my initial reaction is that I may not building up enough uterine lining to have a regular period?

 Has anyone had this happen to them and what were some things they tried to rule out first?

Day 28 - nothing / Day 58 - spotting off and on for 2 weeks (very light) / Day 86 - light spotting

    Thanks to both of you. This site with all of the abbreviations etc is quite overwhelming.
