when I saw a kid with huge swollen red eyes at the Halloween party at Owen's preschool I thought to myself that he must have some eye condition...it COULD NOT be pinkeye because who in their right mind would bring their child around so may kids with such a raging contagious case of conjunctivitis. A "Your child has been exposed to Conjunctivitis" letter from the school and several eye drops ad tears later it turns out some people really are just clueless.

And FWIW I have no clue how he was able to stay, the school is so insane about sending kids home with illnesses, he was kind of standing there among the sea of madness and parents on Halloween with big red swollen eyes.

Ugh, that sucks!  DD's DC sends them home at the first site of any eye gup!

I had never seen the kid before and I'm wondering if it was a sibling..it was soooo crowded in there with all the kids, parents, teachers etc. it was hard to tell.

Ug, that seriously SUCKS.  If it was bad enough for you to notice randomly, he should never have been there.

That's so crazy. Whatever parent had that child at your child's school is irresponsible in the highest. I would be seriously pissed.
