I took DS to the mall today to do some Christmas shopping. I was pushing him in his stroller and was walking passed the Santa who was walking around talking to kids. He asked me if my baby was sleeping and I said he wasn't so I let him take a peek. He is talking to DS and next thing I know he is unbuckling him and takes him out of the stroller!!! I was in shock and couldn't get my mouth to say anything.

Then he proceeds to walk off with my son and take him to the picture area to sit in his chair. He asks me if DS can have a candy cane...umm no! He is 3 months old!! I swiftly take DS back and exit quickly as the elves are asking me if I want to purchase a picture. No thanks!!

 I had to call my mom after that and I started crying. I was so mad at myself for not speaking up and telling him to leave us alone and not to take off with my son. Ugh!

That is so not okay. I'd write a letter to that mall telling them about your experience. Maybe the guy playing Santa doesn't see the harm in it...but that is so violating. I honestly don't know if I would have had the balls to say something either. I think I'd be too shocked.

Sometimes its very hard to react when you're in shock. I'm sorry that happened to you. I would've freaked out!

Don't beat your self up, you were probably in shock. Seriously though why would he ever think it would be okay to un buckle your son and walk away? People have some nerve. Sorry this happened to you!

My friend's mom did this with my baby. It took about 3 minutes before I went after her. It was so not okay. I haven't been around her since.

That is un-real.  That was a ploy to get you to buy a picture i'm sure.  I agree with PP that you should contact the mall.

I will definitely contact the mall and let them know. It happened so fast and afterward I just felt terrified and got a serious creeper vibe

Definitely tell the mall. I've never been in your position so I can't say for sure what I would've done but I'd like to think I would've gone off on the fcker.

These are reasons why I don't want my kids taking photos with mall santas. I've always gotten creeper vibes from all of them.

I'm just kidding....that is really messed up.  I feel like I let things happen to ds#1 that made me uncomfortable because I didn't know how or feel like I could speak up.  I think it comes with experience.  (or maybe now I'm just a big biotch).

I'm so glad to hear your going to contact the mall management.  I wouldn't even write them I'd just call. I think and angry phone call is more effective than a letter. Good luck and let us know what their response is.
