 A cousin I was close to (growing up) died in 2000.  His name was Christopher.  He did not have kids...nor did he have any siblings.  I want to honor him by using this name for my son.

My DS us Reed Christopher so I am partial to that! I like these choices so much better.

I love Reid! It was at the top of my list but SO nixed it. Now a former friend is using it so it is off the table for me....I still love it though!

I love the mn Christopher and that it honors your late cousin.

Reid is my favorite followed by Ryan.  Jason is okay, but not a fan of Dane.  When I hear Dane all I can think of is the dog Great Dane.

But all of these are better than Jayden

Ha, I see you got your "den" name education! Been there! DS2 is named Reid Jayden and although I had major regret about using Jayden upon hearing all of the criticism on this board and others, we stuck with it b/c of family significance. He's named after my grandpa, J. Dennis. Likewise, my nephews are Ryan and Jason in honor of the same "R" and "J" grandparents. It made baby naming a little tricky.

I prefer Reid, Ryan, Jason and Dane in this order... although if you would've listed Dean instead of Dane, Jason would be last. It's so dated.

But I agree with the others that they are all a million times better than Jayden.

I like all of these. I actually like Dane best because I think it has a similar sound to your original choice and would be a good compromise as does Jason but it has a bad association for me with that horror movie.

These are all great! I am having a tough time picking a favorite! I think my favorite would be Reid, then Dane, then Jason, and Ryan. But you couldn't go wrong with any of these.
