I'm just curious how one goes from $300+ gifts one year to something the same or better the next. I'd imagine if the little siblings are getting iPads the older sister must be getting something fancy.

I'd kill someone who took away the joy of picking out my kid's first pony. Or, you know, surprised with six hundred pounds of hay-burning, manure-making trouble.
