Another question for you experts

DH and I are interested in having a nanny for DC.  We won't need one until late August when I start school again.  We are at a loss of where to start looking.  Anyone use a nanny?  How did you find yours?

I've asked several times and most responses are craigslist or word of mouth.  GL

I'm in Houston, so this may be of no help, but there is a church that holds a job fair type of thing for household type employees every month (maybe week...?).  I know a couple people who have gotten terrific nannies there.
