If you had read further, you would have learned that women aren't women anymore, and that's why men don't want to marry us. HOWEVER, we can TURN IT ALL AROUND if we will just go back to embracing our God given femininity and intended gender roles.

Only the unmarried women have to worry about this.
I'm not in that unfortunate condition.

I don't like making excuses for boys who want to be men but won't accept responsibility for it. So they cry about the economy, women's rights, etc etc etc all from their parents basement.
If a man doesn't want to marry a woman because she is breaking the stereotype then he doesn't deserve her.
I hate my generation of "men"
I sideeye my friends who call themselves grown men while living with their parents blaming Bush or Obama about why they don't have a career and no one.is beating down their door to pay them.big bucks because they have a degree but no experience. People don't understand the concept of working for what you have and building for your future. Everyone wants to start on top and won't settle for anything less... Then whine when they don't get it.
The sense of entitlement a lot of my peers express is disgusting.

So a woman is blaming women for the fact that the supply (love that word) of "marriageable men" is slowly dwindling because they're "not women anymore"? Do I have that right?
What exactly was the pedestal that women had that the rotten feminists pushed them off of? If the pedestal she speaks of was that of a housewife/SAHM, which there is absolutely nothing wrong with, then it looks like she needs to reevaluate where she's standing. Because based on her websites, she clearly (presumably) contributes largely to the household with an income based on her own talents and skills, things that would've been discouraged had the sexual revolution never occurred. She's become a self-made woman, which would've been highly difficult for her had those lousy crappy feminists not knocked those other women down off their pedestals (sarcasm font).

I agree that it's dumb to blame Bush or Obama for this, but your generation were sold a bad bill of goods when it came to college degrees. A lot of college advisors told student that they would be able to find jobs after college. Not that they might, but that they would. They almost guaranteed it. That's why there are so many unemployed law school graduates right now.
We were told all our lives that if you work hard and got into college, you would find a good paying job. That isn't the situation anymore and it hasn't been for a long time. Unfortunately, a lot of parents are still pushing their kids to go to college when it may not be the best idea in the world in terms of potential future career. The "old standbys" of college degrees are almost worthless anymore. You almost have to get a graduate level degree to remain relevant and that costs a whole lotta money that people don't have.
So the sense of entitlement for getting a good job after leaving college is not just your generation. Society told them that they would.
If I was your generation, I would be super pissed off right about now.

I'm the only one working right now, and if DH doesn't find a job in January (once interview season is basically over, and before residency starts in June), he'll be a stay-at-home dad and I'll be the super masculine provider. I bet I'll still get banged pretty much every day.
My good blowies must help him overcome his disgust of my lack of femininity. That or he's secretly gay. Crap, maybe I should call him and ask.
Jesus. I didn't realize they had it so bad. Let's start a charity drive. It will be like the Salvation Army Angel Trees except ours will ask for things like beer and football tickets.

Oh that's why DH doesn't want to propose. I always thought it was because he was to cheap to buy a ring and all that free milk I've been giving him. Moo.
For those that don't know, I am still allowed to call him DH because those are his initials.

So, when you finally convince him to come out here, he`s got a date with my bff who will hook him up. She`s in the industry to put a farking huge smile on your face. Say yes to the dress and all that.

This will in no way encourage him to leave the province. He's still a bit scared of highway driving in the winter if you ask me. He'd never admit that though.
So, I need some clarification, because I may be doing it all wrong. I have more education than my husband, but I'm a SAHM. Does that make me super feminine? Or does my further education take me down a notch? Should I have stayed working so I could beat down men? I'm so confused.

Wuss (your dh). I`ll teach him to drive the winter roads. I cut my teeth in GP when I was 14. I`m not scared. I commuted in a Mini.
Oh, and the date with my bff is a last minute he doesn`t know he has an appointment date. Seriously, like last minute. All guys crap themselves if they hear anything to do with weddings.

Do you give good blow jobs? I think that's the only reason DH is still with me, since I work right now and he doesn't. If you don't, you'd better learn, or he might find some more feminine woman out there with less of that book-learnin'.

I used to, but pregnancy took the idea of that right out of my head. I guess I better start it up again, or I'm in trouble.

Man, I love articles that start with some actual interesting facts, then halfway through completely dive off the deep end with "Women aren?t women anymore."
There is pressure on women to "have it all," be a supermom and super career woman. SAHMs often feel judged and inferior for not having a career. Working moms often feel judged for not spending more time with their children. This was not the point of the article, but I bring it up only to say that there was a time when being a Supermom was "enough". Obviously taking away women's options to be anything but a wife and mother would be stupid. But there does need to be more movement towards gender equality with regards to pressure for child-rearing responsibilities.
Really though, if there is a war between Men and Women (and I sure hope there ain't), my side is definitely still winning.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
Wooooooooooow, the rise of women has undermined the ability of men to provide for their families? Really??
My husband, yes the one who married me GASP, loves that I work with him and even make a few extra bucks than he does. It allows us to live in our house and pay the bills... I can't even fathom what our lives would be with half our income. And how does my paycheck affect his?
Re: "The War On Men". Discuss.
