quick computer question

ds has pushed a button on my keyboard and everytime i hit the shift key, i go back to the screen i was just on.  how do i get this to stop. makes it impossible to post.

What were you doing on the comp when he pushed the button?  DH is the computer genius in our house and he is pretty stumped.
