*gasp* I spent money on clothes for him... I am such a bad wife
I will admit that I did spend almost $500 on him but he almost never buys new clothes. Also, in addition to teaching FT I also teach college PT (2 online classes) so if he makes a fuss I'm planning to justify the purchase by the fact that the extra monthly stipend I receive for teaching PT more than covers this purchase (also the fact that most of his clothes are very worn/faded). He is a big guy so I have to shop at Casual Male XL for his clothes and naturally they cost more but they were having a great sale (buy 1 get one free polos, button-down SS shirts 1/3, $10 off jeans) so I think that merits a larger than normal purchase. For $500 I got him 4 t-shirts, 8 polo shirts, 3 dress shirts and 2 pairs of blue jeans. I didn't do that badly, did I?
Also, one of his shirts is a Star Wars shirt with Darth Vader on it that says "Who's your daddy?", I couldn't help myself... I'm a sci-fi nerd and so is he. I was this close to getting an Atari shirt for him but decided instead on Ghostbusters (he loves the movies, mainly the first one).
ETA: This all stems from the fact that he hates, HATES, to spend money on clothes. He would be wearing clothes with holes in them if I didn't shop for him. I'm debating on putting just a few things in his closet over the course of the next few months but am not sure b/c that seems dishonest although I didn't make any attempt to hide the purchase through our checking account.
Re: DH is gonna kill me...
DH never gets new clothes. I always have to buy them. The majority of his shirts are star wars shirts because he can wear jeans and tees to work. I bought him mostly clothes for Christmas. He's getting a Vader hoodie. I wanted the wookie one but he can't wear something that dorky in public.
lol, DS has 4 SW shirts and one has a pic of Chewbacca on the front and says "Wild Child" on the back. I love it!
She hates what I pick out anyway.
DH and I love BBT!
