We were supposed to ditch the nukie this wknd

But I don't want to. I'm scared, yinz guise.

I like my sleep.

Am I a cop-out if I wait to Christmas weekend?

  • I am a cop out too, I promised DH after her birthday... Well we have successfully narrowed down the time to just sleep, but come on, no one sees it, it is all good, right?

    Nobody sees it. True true.

    BUT

it's starting to gross me out - the whole germy part of the nuke. It's a pain in the ass to remember to wash them. She only uses it at beditme and naptime and has about six in her crib. And I wonder if it's why she seems to have a "cold" all the time.

  • We're in the same boat...and cutting the tip off didn't help as so many said it would. I've decided that we'll either try during Christmas when I'll be off for two weeks and can put him in DC during the day to recover my sleep (I would have tried this holiday but got dx with the flu on Sunday) or we'll just wait until he's showing more signs of being ready. My DH is really pushing it but it's easy for him b/c he works offshore so when he's in he doesn't have to worry about sleep, he can always sleep when DS goes to DC and when he's offshore it doesn't matter b/c it won't affect him. I'm with you, I like my sleep and DS already wakes up way too early (usually 5:30/6 even though he doesn't go to bed until around 9).

I'm no help. I let DS decide when he was ready and he was way too old but it was his only comfort thing so I didn't push it. Holy long sentence.

How old was he? I'm following this line of thought at this point but DH disagrees.
