S will be about 4 months when Christmas rolls around and I just realized today that I hadn't planned any presents for her for Christmas. It seems kind of silly to buy, wrap and then unwrap presents for her when she clearly has no idea what is going on, and on the other hand it seems just wrong not to get my child something for Christmas.
Re: Did you get Xmas presents for DC when they were babies?
Since Ryan was 11 months old at Christmas, we did do presents. Not a lot of them...but a few. If I have a baby who's younger, I might just do a stocking for picture's sake...and because I'm a sucker for xmas morning!
Like Donna, Ty was a Jan baby so he was old enough to really have fun with the presents.
In the next few months she'll really start to notice and play with toys- you can look ahead and buy some fun things for 6+ months. She may not get it on Christmas, but she'll enjoy them later on : )

We're getting Max an ornament, some jammies and a toy. That's it.
He has enough family and friends that will totally overload him, we aren't going to go overboard. Now his first birthday? That's a whole nother matter!
C was six weeks old on his first Christmas. I did mainly clothes for him, pacis and onesies in his stocking along with a special stuffed animal for the top and we got him a porcelain piggy bank with his name on it.
