Adoption

My sister's baby...

My sister has a baby that's a few weeks younger than the baby that we lost, and I see how bad my sister is handling motherhood and it just breaks my heart. She didn't even want the baby and it just boils my blood! She doesn't like being a mother and I would give anything to be one.

Re: My sister's baby...

  • Try not to focus on her, but the fact that you are matched with an EM that is due soon.  It's hard, but there really is nothing you can do about it.  Breathe and stay focused on your LO.

  • (( Hugs )) I'm sorry you're having a rough time, that is a hard thing to deal with.  All you can do is love your niece or nephew and your sister and try to focus on the fact that you are matched and will hopefully have a little one in your arms very soon.

Thoughts and prayers for you, I'm so sorry for your loss.

  • This is very difficult, and I don't really have anything constructive to say, except that I will keep you in my prayers.

  • I completely understand.  I have a sister who is only 15 months younger than me, and when she was 18 she had her first son.  I was only 19 and starting a family with my bf (now husband) would have been stupid, but I wanted to be a mom so bad, and she hated it.  Once we started fertility treatments, she found out she was pregnant again.  She now has 2 sons, one that my parents are raising, and the 2nd one lives with her ONLY because his father said there was NO WAY he would let her make an adoption plan...even though he works 50 hours a week to her 25, he does most of the work....it makes me so MAD that she has two children she never wanted and tells us we are stupid for wanting kids...life is a big puzzle I will never understand.
