S/O. What do you put on top of your meatloaf?

My mom always topped her meatloaf with plain old ketchup before baking it, so that's what I've always done. I've had it at other people's homes when it was topped with BBQ sauce or an Asian ginger glaze. I'm wanting to change our recipe up a bit, so what to you top yours with?

So, I just made meatloaf for the first time ever last week. The topping was a mix of ketchup, hot sauce, cider vinegar, brown sugar, and a little cardamom - so basically bbq sauce without molasses. This is the recipe I used. It was pretty awesome, and this is coming from a person who does not love meatloaf.

LOL, this sounds like the recipe to HP sauce. That's what we use.

My mother always put a couple slices of american

cheese, and a can of Campbell's tomato soup on

it about 15-20 minutes before it's done. Sounds weird

maybe. I hated it growing up. but I love it now.

My mom used to make this homeade ketchup. I hate meatloaf so I would never go to that much trouble. We just use hinez ketchup.

I don't really make meatloaf but my mother used to use cream of mushroom soup for the top and to make a sauce. Sometimes she would stuff the middle with a similar stuffing that would be in turkey. (a simple version)
