The post below (starbuck) got me thinking about all those things we all swore we wouldn't do or that we judged other people for doing before we had babies, but now that we have LOs, we totally do it.
Mine is that I swore my LO wouldn't use a pacifier or if he/she did, I would take it away early. My DS just gave his up at 3! I KNOW people totally judged me for it, but there were so many other "fights" we had to win for his health/safety that we decided that was one we'd let go. It made him happy, and he only used it for naps and bedtime.
So what did you swear you would never do as a parent, but you totally have already and maybe feel bad that you ever judged other moms for doing it?
Re: What do you do that you swore you wouldn't do?
I judged a friend who wouldn't try to get her LO to sleep in their bassinet/crib and wouild sleep on the couch while LO slept in the bouncer/carrier/etc. Hayley was going to sleep in her own bed. And so she did...until August.
Now we sleep on the couch...and I like it...

I also wasn't a fan of the paci, but I found myself begging her to take one!

CIO- I did a modified version of Ferber in the end.
I also judged a family member for putting her kid to bed at 630. I totally get it now. My daughter is in bed by 7-730 latest every night. If it goes past that she is a monster!
I always swore I WOULD let my baby cry. I believed that they had to cry and know that someone wasn't always coming to get them.
Then I read all the reasons I shouldn't plus I had him and there was no way that little face was going to cry!!
I've since let him cry for a few minutes here and there but I've never done CIO.

Me too, me too!
I swore I would never leave the room when the dogs are in the house with DD. Do it daily.
I swore I would never rock her to sleep, this is my favorite part of the day. (I dont do it everynight but occasionally)
