I sold a very expensive textbook, $100+ mid September and received an email from the buyer saying that it's the wrong edition- there is one; then that it's the teacher's edition. I respectfully answered him saying that it is the only edition and the student's edition but if he feels he ordered the wrong text then to let me know. I never heard back from him via email, but went through Amazon's A-Z support online.. the email went to my spam and when I logged in to purchase something, it notified me that he was refunded. That's all fine and dandy.
Except now it has been 4 weeks since the refund, and I have YET to receive the text back. I have emailed the buyer twice with no response. According to Amazon, seller support only exists in the form of email, and that it is not their problem if the buyer does not send it back. So now I am left without the book and money! Honestly, I am curious if this buyer was aware of this whole system or just wanted to drag it out and use it for the semester free of cost. And after doing a quick google search, apparently this has happened many times to other sellers.
I have reported it to the BBB, but I don't know what else to do from here:(
Re: Do NOT Sell on Amazon!!
Yeah, I called and they said they only deal with sellers issues such as this through email! Kinda strange. And I can say that I've had a great experience buying from them... I just am not sure I even want to give them my business after how rude they've been via email.
I don't think I can leave feedback for the buyer, but I wish I could since the whole thing is so suspicious! The full name and shipping address and his last name includes numbers.. a little strange.
