Greetings & salutations from new mom-to-be!

Hello All!

I'm very excited to be finally posting on a 2013 due date board.  EDD 7/20/13  I got a faint BFP on Friday and got 2 definite pink lines on Sunday.  DH & I have been trying for 6 months for our first baby.  I was using OPK for the last of those 2 months, which made me realize our timing was probably way off for the first 4 months. 

 I'm happy to chat with and get to know you all!  Only me and my DH will know for a while (I'm only 4w3d) so it will be nice to be able to talk to others about this secret!

 My first consultation with a nurse will be on Dec. 7th (7w6d - so far away) and they probably schedule the first ultrasound about a week after that.

Question - do you think DH needs to go to that first consultation? Anything big happen at those?

I know how you feel about the doctor's appointment being so far away. I don't see a nurse until Dec. 10th. My husband is going to come along, I don't think much is going to happen. I am hoping that they will at least check for a heartbeat.

Congratulations!

My DH is coming with me to all my appointments ( he drives me). First appointment is usually a lot of talking and not much else( at least is with my dr).

Congrats and Welcome! My first appointments are always PIAC for them to do another pregnancy test (as if the million I took before my appointment didn't tell me I was pregnant), talk to my Dr. about what's going on, get my script for my prenatal vitamins and blood work and schedule an ultrasound. Every Dr. is different so I'd call ahead and ask what to expect. DH only comes with me if I'm having an ultrasound.

Congrats! Both of our my first appointments were exactly how everyone described. They confirm your pregnancy, take a lot of blood, do an exam, take your medical history if they do not already have it, and answer any questions. There are so many appointments and my DH works an hour away so he only comes to ultrasounds.
