Question for DE ladies about BCP

How long were you on BCP before your DE cycle?  I called the clinic where I am doing my DE cycle this afternoon (in CA, not my regular clinic) to ask about when I am supposed to start BCPs for my end of January cycle...The answer... Today!!!   Ummmm, no one told me this!!!!!  So now I am scrambling to get the script called in.  Is it normal to start on CD3 and so far ahead of time?  Sorry if I sound completely stupid but I have never been on BCP for IVF and the last minuteness of this is making my neurotic brain question everything!

It was supposed to be just s couple of weeks, but then our cycle was delayed. I was on BCP for two months. Yes, it's normal to start that early!  GL, sweets!

Thank you!  I was just caught so off guard and it started me thinking, well if they forgot to tell me this, what else are they forgetting?!  I think the burden of having to travel for this is really adding to my stress... Had a meltdown yesterday after booking the hotel but that?s another story.  

I am so happy that everything has worked out for you!  It must have been amazing to hear that little heartbeat!!!

I know how stressful a DE cycle is.  It has complexities that are so unlike a cycle with your OE and that causes new anxieties, too.  You will get through this!  If it makes you feel any better, early in my cycle, things were a bit disorganized in terms of synching the donor and me, but it all worked out just fine.  Definitely be aware of what's going on and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself.  But also try to remember that the clinics have done this -- a lot.  They'll take care of you.  GL and keep us in the loop!

I started BCP (which I kinds still think is funny because I'm DOR..are they really that concerned I'm going to O?) on a 'weird" day, like CD5 or something.  Good luck, thinking about you.
