 We are supposed to be keeping this pregnancy from everyone until Christmas... except I just got an email from my mom saying "So, I got a box of Enfamil samples in the mail. Why?" .... of course being my witty self I respond "HAHAHAHA! Are you pregnant!?"

It's just a matter of minutes before I get another response "no, the box had your name on it?"

SO I NEED AN OUT! QUICK! PS: who sends crap to your house without consent anyway?! Errrr. Gotta find what website has my parents address on it somehow and change it pronto!

Say you ordered it for a friend and used different addresses to get her more and you forgot to tell her!

You can just say you registered on a baby website to look at a friend's registry or something, so maybe you got put on a "list"

Just say that you bought some stuff for a friend who recently had a baby at BRU. Everyone knows they sell your information.

See... that's what my friend at work said "Say you ordered them for me!" also BUT 1) I've already claimed to have quit smoking 2) Recently claimed to have quit drinking.... and now mom is getting Enfamil samples? How much longer can I BS my mother. Haha.. she's my mom... she was always the one to catch me when I was lying anyway.

Lets be honest, she's probably put it all together and trying to get it out of you : my mom put the clues together too, so I played dumb to the point that it became a joke! She wasn't super shocked when we told them. Go figure

LOL! Good luck!! I would just say that they got your address somehow, not sure?! Or, research the company...I think they are part of the same company that sells Ensure, so, I wonder if you just say that you had requested samples of that drink because you wanted to try protein drinks but they sent you Enfamil as well?

Similar story...We have a hot tub, which is a huge no-no for pregnant mommies...and my DH invited a whole bunch of his friends over. They all pressured me to get in, and so I sat on the edge. They all were asking me "why arent you getting in? Its cold outside!"...needless to say, one of them questioned that I may be pregnant. That was hard to get out of!

All she really knows is we were going back and forth about having another one about 6 months ago. She has no idea that we were trying or that we are.

Then, telling her you are TTC will throw her off the knocked up trail. This plan cannot fail.

Tell her that the Knot sent it to you because it's been X months/years since your wedding. They sent me baby stuff right at my one year mark.

Hee hee. This, right here, is why the Knot still thinks I live in DC (I live in NY now). I kind of feel bad for whoever lives in my old apartment and is getting mysterious baby-related mail now.

Thanks guys for all the help! I got out of it with little questioning. Thankfully this whole exchange took place over email rather than in person. I could totally see me choking if she asked to my face. You guys freakin rock!
