Last CP for boys

For today, anyway. lol Going off of my last CP, DH loves the name Rhett and it seems you ladies do as well. My question is would you use Rhett as a stand alone or a nn? David will most likely be the middle name. [Poll]

I think it's acceptable as a nn for Everett. But I also think its perfectly fine on its own. So I voted stand alone name.

Same here.  I voted stand alone.  Everett is NMS, but I really like Rhett.  I say go with Rhett as a stand alone.

I voted stand-alone. But if you still wanted it as a nn, I like it for Everett more than for Garrett.

Thanks, ladies! DH is so set on Rhett for a boy. He has his heart set on it and I'm trying to love it as much as he does. If LO is a boy, it will be our first and only boy. He will also be the only hope of carrying on DH's last name. I'm leaning more toward giving in to DH because I know how important this is to him. Maybe I will fall in love with the name once I can associate my little boy with it.

If you don't love it, could you use it as the mn?  I know you had several family names picked for mn.  Or would a good compromise be Rhett as fn and your side family name for mn?  Regardless of fn, DS would carry on DH's last name, so he always has that

I told DH the only way I will go with Rhett as a FN is if we can use David (my dad's name) as the MN. lol He didn't argue. I really like it, but don't love it like he does. To be fair, I don't really 'love' any boy names. I'm holding on to the fact that I will probably call him "Buddy" or "Sport" or some other cute nn. lol And like I said, maybe I will love the name if I have a little boy with which to associate the name.

I completely understand.  I'm not currently PG but we are TTC and I don't love any boy names either.  Maybe call LO Rhett for a couple of weeks and see if it grows on you?  We did this for DD and ended up in love with the name and knew it was the one.  GL!!

Thanks! I'll give that a try. If LO is another girl, she will be Natalie Ann. We both love it so much. I wish I could have that same feeling toward a boy name! lol

I voted Everett but I think it works as a stand alone or as a NN for Garrett. I just voted for my favorite name!

I chose as a nn for Everett. I love Everett and Rhett. You can't go wrong with any of your options though. Garett is a fine name too.
