DS has been extremely fussy the past week or so and since getting his vaccines on Friday it has been amplified times 10. He had a fever Saturday and Sunday but luckily that is gone now. He is still extremely fussy. All weekend he's been sleeping for only 20min-30min at a time, he will only fall asleep if he's laying on my chest and he cries bloody murder during his feedings. He's hungry constantly but a few swallows in and he hits the bottle out of his mouth but then will cry when you take it away. He also keeps rubbing his face with his hands and when he's on my shoulder he rubs his face back and forth. My husband teethed extremely early as a baby and I'm starting to wonder if possibly that's what's going on? Any advice or suggestions? I've been up with him since 3:00am and he's only slept a total of 45 mins since then.

Re: I'm exhausted
Hey Girl,
We are dealing with something a little similar as far as the feedings go, although he does finish his bottles, it's just taking him longer. He has been sleeping pretty good though. I noticed on Thursday that he is starting to chew on his hands and drool a lot. On Saturday night I noticed that he has a little spot on his gums that is raised up a bit. My MIL said my DH started teething at 4 months and Hudson will be 3 months on Thursday. I've asked several family members about this and they look at me like I've got 2 heads and tell me its way too early. I really think it has something to do with teething though and I guess time will tell.
I hope things get better for you, it's so frustrating when they do this because they can't tell us what's wrong and of course we want to fix it for them!

DS has been doing the same thing as far as drooling and he's always putting his hands in his mouth. My MIL said that my DH had his 2 front teeth by the time he was 3 months old. I know that typically this is to early for him to be dealing with this but I've read that alot of it can be based on family history. Between the vaccines, transitioning him to his crib, and possibly teething he is one very unhappy little guy lately and I feel awful. Last night he slept from 11-3 and that was it. He's been wide awake since.

Oh my goodness, you poor thing!! I hope he sleeps better tonight!!
06/10 mmc@ 10 weeks: 03/11 mc @ 8 weeks due to blighted ovum.
I was giving him infant tylenol over the weekend for the fever and it helped a little bit. I stopped once the fever broke but today he was inconsolable and wouldn't eat more than an ounce at a time because he seemed like he was in pain. I gave him some tylenol and waited a half an hour. The next time I fed him he drank the rest of his bottle with no pain or fussing and then finally slept for a few hours straight. He's much better tonight so I'm hoping we both get some much needed sleep tonight!
