kind of NBR.. but i am annoyed!

Sorry, I should write about this on my new BMB, but I like you guys better. DH and I were planning to go over to my parent's house tonight and tell them about baby #2. We were going to put DD1 in a "Big Sister" shirt and just wait to see who notices. Well, I cannot find a "Big Sister" shirt anywhere! There are tons of cute ones online of course, and I should've ordered one awhile ago, but I didn't. I feel like I ALWAYS see them in the store and that it wouldn't be a problem to find one. Well, it is. I've checked everywhere! Kohls, Target, Walmart, The Children's Place and TRU. I checked online at Old Navy, Gymboree and Crazy 8 (bc I don't wanna drive out there for no reason) and they have nothing either. My last resort would be the Carter's outlet, it's a little out of my way, so I checked on Carter's website and only found one shirt and the smallest size is 2T. I really did not think it would be so hard to find this! I bought iron-on paper to try try to make one, but it's not going well. I could go buy some iron-on letters and try that. But, it's not going to be as cute as I had pictured and now I am just bummed. I should just think of something else, but I really liked this idea and thought it would be so easy!

    That stinks!  I saw stuff at BRU this weekend but didn't look at the sizes.  What about puffy paint and a white onesie?

    I saw one in Macy's this weekend.  It was a Carter's brand one.

    That is a really cute idea.

    Sorry you are not having any luck finding the onsie you wanted, maybe try iron on letters or paint.

    If all else fails maybe let her go in holding the u/s pictures and wait until they ask her what it that she is holding, then casually say "a picture of her little sister"  and wait for freak out :)

    You should just make one! I made my niece one, I printed off Reece's ultra sound and just glued it on her shirt and decorated the shirt with puffy paint and glitter that said " meet my new cousin in Feb 2012" It was cheap and cute.

    I saw one at kohls in infant sizes.  It was pjs but a two piece and the shirt was so cute, she could wear it alone!

     I was just about to recommend Kohls as well! Good luck-I hope you can find one or make one.  Take a picture we all want to see!

    Ditto kohls. This is how we told everyone I was pregnant with DS. Be prepared for no one to notice. We did it at my parents' and each of DH's, and we were 0 for 3. We had to point the shirt out after a period of time. Everyone was so busy interacting with her, they just never paid attention to her shirt!

    Thanks! I saw the PJ set at Kohl's, but the smallest size our store had was a 4T. I ended up finding one at our local grocery store just now, of all places! So we're good to go!

    Thanks for the heads up, I didn't even think of that! My mom always pays attention to what DDs wearing, so hopefully she notices.. and quickly!
