July 2013 Moms

I thought I was going to skip morning sickness!

My mom told me when she was pg with me she never had morning sickness and only vomited twice.

I thought I was in the clear but I woke up today with it! No vomiting, just nausea. I don't know how I taught my cycling class! Ugh!!

  • Just think of it as a constant reminder that there is a baby growing in there!

I was horribly sick with DD and I know this will bite me in the arse later but I wish I felt at least a little m/s to reassure me I am pg!

The other ladies have been posting about using Seabands and ginger to keep the nausea at bay. I found sucking on Jolly Ranchers and Life Savers to be helpful last time. I was also given Phenergan last time because I was so sick. I hope you feel better and can keep food down!

  • I had terrible morning sickness with DD, and one of the things that helped was eating small meals throughout the day.  If I ate too much I got sick, and if I went too long without eating I got sick.  Perhaps bringing something light to snack on before you teach would help?

  • Definitely try eating apple slices with peanut butter or almonds with fiber one crackers, etc about 30 minutes before you work out. I can only run/work out when I have had a filling snack not long before..... when not pg this is the worst combo for me but right now it's the only way to get through this challenge.

    Good luck :)

  • I totally understand. I'd had some very light nausea at some points, but then today I woke up with a horrible headache and through the whole day my stomach has felt so sick... no throwing up but horrible nausea. I just remind myself this means there are lots of hormones, which is good, last time I didn't feel sick at all, and that ended badly.
