Why wasn't I warned?

Somehow it never occurred to me that real foods = real vomit.

 Oh my yuck. 

I was soaked to the skin. So was she. I feel like I had my real mom-baptism.  The look on her face right before she started, she was like "ma, wth is happening?" Poor kid!

yuck. Spit-up is fine, but I'm not sure I "do" real vomit... Not looking forward to that.

Yuck, ds had never vomited so far and he's been eating table food for awhile now! FX he doesn't, I don't think I could handle that yet!!

What is in bold made me literally LOL. That sucks though! DS has done that but not a lot it was just a little bit and it was for sure yuck!

I always wondered what was meant by the phrase "projectile vomiting" and a few weeks ago I found out. Poor DS wasn't acting normal and he started to throw up. DH was holding him so I came over and it happened. Projectile vomiting. My poor baby looked at me and I couldn't do anything for him but talk to him (DH was still holding him). The projectile vomit looked like what you'd see on tv, spraying out like out of a hose. It definitely caught us off guard. Long story short took him to the ER he had an ear infection and a viral infection and that image of projectile vomiting imprinted in my brain.

Oh, how traumatic!  For both you and baby.  Double yuck.

It's amazing what you can handle once you're a Mommy! I don't "do" vomit either, but when it's your baby it's amazing what you'll do...even stick your hands out to catch it.
