How much does/did your six week old sleep? What did/do you do with him or her when awake? It seems like Raylan still sleeps a good amount, but when he is up (which is getting to be more and more) he is pretty picky about what he does. He will lie on his back for a bit, let me wear him a bit, go in his playmat, listen to me read....but it's all a limited time that he will do it. Then if he doesn't want to go back to sleep he gets really fussy. This is usually in the evening and I know this is when fussiness kicks in...so do you just deal? How long does it last? I never know when I should try to "entertain" him or when I should soothe him and let him sleep.

DS is 2 months, but he still sleeps a lot. When he's up, I talk to him while he lays on my lap, he lays on his activity mat for awhile and then he does tummy time. After that, he goes back to sleep. He's only up for an hour and a half tops at a time.
We follow the EASY method, so I just kind of watch how long he has been awake. If he's fussing and he's been awake an hour, I know he's ready to nap again.
