Re: Hurricane Sandy Rollcall...

  • We are back to normal this week. I have been thinking about Melissa and Picklsx a lot. I really hope that they are okay. I haven't seen them around since the storm and both of their areas got hit pretty hard.

I hope everyone else that I can't think of by name is okay and made it throught the storm.

  • We lost power and heat for four days, but we got off pretty easily compared to other people I know.

  • I'm glad you both are alright!

  • We are ok. We were without power for a week but fortunately still had hot water and didnt have any damage to our house, but did lose trees that fortunately fell away from any houses or fences. My job was closed for a week and a half and still has only partial power so the past two days were spent working in a winter coat and.gloves! There is a lot of damage everywhere but especially along the shoreline. I am so sad that our boardwalks have been obliterated and our beaches are pretty much non existant. But that is nothing compared to the people who lost their homes completely. Its so sad.

We also got hit with a Nor'easter on Wednesday that brought a foot of snow to us and brought more trees and power lines down so people who had just gotten their power back after Sandy are now in the dark and cold again. Way to kick us when we are down, Mother Nature.

Other than being sad about the destruction everywhere we are safe and warm and I hope everyone affected by these storms are as well.

I'm so glad your family and home are okay!  I saw pictures of the homes and boardwalk...it's devastating
