WTF stupid HOA ruining 1st bday plans!

Our idiot board decided only one person could rent the clubhouse per weekend (which they define as Fri, Sat, & Sun). WTF! Why? We called to reserve it today thinking that the weekend after Christmas wouldn't be that popular of a time, but were told that due to this new policy it's pretty much booked for all of time. Argh. Now I have no idea where we are going to have his bday party and am totally bummed :-(

    I am sorry that really does suck! Talk about a bad policy. I am sure someone on here will have some ideas.

    That sucks!  Maybe you could somehow figure out who else rented it and split the cost with them?
    Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

    That's what I'm hoping - I sent an email to our community mailing list asking if the person who rented it (no idea who) was willing to share the weekend. Waiting to see if anyone responds... I'm also going to complain to the HOA as this is NOT part of the Clubhouse Rental Policy and there was no notification of a change.
