I figured I should introduce myself over here. I'm mostly on TTGP, but since I'll be 36 this weekend I guess I belong here, too. I had high hopes for this cycle, but I started spotting today so I know I'm out. I wanted to introduce myself since I might be around for a while.

A little about us - I'll be 36 and DH will be 41 next month. We have one son, born March 2011, and are TTC #2 now.  I had always said I wanted to be done having kids by 35, but we got such a late start so that kind of went out the window.  We live in SC, are both huge sports nuts and love running.  If there's anything else you'd like to know please feel free to ask. I look forward to getting to know you all

Yes, best laid plans eh...my first hubby and I had our DD when I was 21, I had always wanted more but things just didn't work out, we divorced over 10 years ago, and then I didn't meet my now 'new' hubby til I was 35.  So here I am at 39 trying for #2 18 years after my first - sometimes I think I'm bonkers for doing it, but then I think of how wonderful it will be to share a baby with my DH (he's never had a child), and I know we have to try! 

I do have to say I'm learning lots here and there are so many wonderfully caring and funny women here to make the journey all the better, enjoy!

I remember as a teenager thinking I'd have all my kids before I was 30. Oh how little I knew then. . .

 

Didn't meet DH until I was 32. We got married when I was 35. We've been trying to get pregnant now for 14 months. He's 40.

I met DH when I was 28, but didn't get married until 32 so the 35 thing wasn't gonna happen.  My sister didn't have her first until 36 and her second when she was 38 so she gives me hope, too.

My good friend's mom didn't start to have her children until she was 40 - she ended up having 4 between age 40-45! And now my friend has sort of followed in her footsteps. She had 2 in her early 20's, they're now 16 and 17, and she's had two more in the last two years (she turned 40 this year). So there's hope for all of us!
