Spicy Food CP!

I want to give Aria spicy foods (within reason, of course) but I'm a little nervous about how it will go over![Poll]

SS:  Yes, but not too spicy and she loved it.  DH always worries about it though.

I voted yes.  I don't do anything super spicy, but I do things that have a "kick" as I would call it.  But my version of spicy may be different from others because almost everythiing we eat in Louisiana is spicy to others.

I accidentally gave Kyle a bite of garlic mashed potatoes thinking they were regular butter-- he immediately started gagging coughing and puked everywhere, I felt so terrible I still do! So, we're not going near anything too harsh for a little while.

I said yes, but we've only tried a couple things that I would consider spicy ... she had some ground turkey with taco seasoning last week (then a second time when I mixed the leftover meat with some mac&cheese), and then last night she had some beans/rice at a mexican restaurant that I had put some salsa on.

She loved both. Which doesn't surprise me since I hated spicy food until I was pregnant with her, and now I can't get things spicy enough most of the time. Weird, right?

We haven't given her any spicy things yet - but in reality we haven't done ANY table food with her really.  I'm a wuss.

Same here, she has had some stuff but it was not very spicy and DH is always worried that it will harm her.

Oh poor Kyle! I can't quit laughing at the mental image though. If that happened to Aria, she'd give me the world's dirtiest look afterward, and this is what I keep seeing in my head!

Laura likes just about everything, but she LOVED the chili I made about a month ago. I ate a ton of spicy food when I was KU, though.

Sophie had a bite of dal makhani, and LOVED it! It had a very low heat index, but had a ton more spices than I usually use. She actually got mad when I put the spoon up to MY mouth instead of hers.

H is Indian and loves spicy food.  With their reflux issues I've been hesitant to give them spicy stuff but I want to start soon.  I also want to start introducing them to the Indian flavors soon so we'll have to give them some of whatever MIL makes and sends home with him.

DH loves spicy/hot food and is insistent ds will too, I want ds to try everything and choose for himself what he likes. DS has tried some spicy food, not hot and not too spicy either, and he loved it!

I've given him a few things that I would say were on the "spicy" side but not so bad that it burned my mouth...and I'm a wuss.  He had some chicken chili that had a little bit of a kick to it, and something else that I can't remember at this moment.  He didn't seem to mind.
