Our baby girl was born Wednesday evening, on Halloween! The experience has been surreal and amazing from the start. BM and her mom are wonderful people. It absolutely blows my mind how grateful SHE is to US when we owe her the world for the precious gift she's given us. She even gave us clothes for the baby and a very sweet card thanking us for being the perfect family for the baby. What?!!! She is one of a kind. Our SW said she's never seen so much of a connection between a BM and adoptive family in her 32 years of being a SW. The hospital was very accommodating. We are now at a hotel, as a family of 4, waiting for interstate compact to go through. BM wants to go with us to baby's dr's appt today and then take pictures all together as a family. That's how strong our connection is...we are a family now. I feel so blessed. Amazingly blessed. The best treat ever on Halloween!

My DD is a Halloween baby too! Have you seen the newborn crocheted pumpkin hats and the pics of the babies posed in pumpkins? I really wish I had done pics with those when my DD was a newborn. I saw the hats on Etsy when my daughter was older and I was so bummed I had not seen them before. Of course if your crafty, they sell patterns as well. If you're getting nb pics done, i'd check them out. Just too cute!
And glad to hear you have such a wonderful relationship already with the BM. That is wonderful and she sounds like a great person to know.

4/11 Started adoption process for 2 siblings through DCF. 10/12 Found out we are licensed! 12/14 Brought 3 week old identical twin girls home from the hospital. Could be at least until Summer 1015 til we know if they are forever ours
