If you cut the banana it gets slimy and slippery. Kristin said peel it and break off with your fingers. The banana is naturally divided into three sections. Broken off that way the chunks are not slippery

I also read that you can smash up Cheerios into powder and coat the banana or other slimy food in it to help them pick it up!
