Hi Everyone,

  I know this is not really a usual post for this board, but I have been deeply impacted by this and feel the need to reach out to all you wonderful ladies on here.  In case anyone didn't know, the East Coast was hit very hard by Hurricane Sandy earlier this week.  I live about 10 minutes outside of Atlantic City, which is right by Ocean City NJ as well.  People have lost everything!!  Homes are destroyed, the streets I once lived on are now filled with sand and were flooded with 3 feet of water for days.  I have family members that have lost homes over in Ventnor, NJ.  The devastation is so widespread.  I am lucky our home and town was spared any major damage.  The Jersey Shore is forever changed.  The Boardwalk, beaches amusement parks and vacation spots are either no longer there or are forever changed.  I will be donating canned goods as well as diapers and other things to local food banks and such, but the Red Cross is accepting donations as well.  I am asking that anyone that is able to help all these people, please make a donation.  It can be as little as $10.00.  Every little bit helps.  Thanks so much everyone!!

Watching the fundraising show tonight. WOW!!! It really is amazing to see the devastation! I'm not typically one to donate but i know somehow we'll find a way.

The devastation is incredible!!!  I have cousins who live two blocks from the beach and had 3 ft of water in their apartment and all of their belongings are ruined and my 97 year old great grandfather lives over there as well and we are still waiting to be able to see how bad his house is.  Every little donation helps because there are still people with no power, no food, and no homes to go back to.  I know our local food bank has been depleted and is in desperate needs of supplies.
