AW Our Day in St. Louis (lots of PIPs)

I've never been here, so we went to see the Gateway Arch. I went to school for engineering, so this is so cool to me.

It was a little scary getting to the top. The little pods that take you up there are kind of dated. Totally worth it for the view, though!

I mentioned a few days ago that I was watching the show The Men Who Built America. Super cool show, btw. But as we were walking to the Arch, I saw this bridge, and I told my (history teacher) DH, this is the bridge from the show, the one Andrew Carnegie built! He disagreed at first, but then later confirmed that I was right. Again, the engineer in me was just LOVING this.

And now, to figure out how to get this little girl to take a nap...

  • I love the arch... but from the ground! I really have no desire to go up in it but I do enjoy hanging out at the park on a nice day. Looks like LO had a good time!

  • You just gave me the heebeejeebeez!  Just the thought of going all the way up there scares the poo out of me.

  • I didn't realize you could go to the top, that's so cool! Glad you guys had fun and your LO doesn't look the least bit scared.

  • I love St Louis! All the old red brick buildings are fascinating to me. I also love going up in the arch, but I don't think I'll ever convince my husband to do it!

Did you take Laura to the zoo? We went while i was pregnant, actually about this time last year, and they were working on several new exhibits. I can't wait to take Julian!!

dh is reffing a soccer tourney today, and I was thinking about going to a zoo, since L and I don't have much else to do.
