Baby name help...

I've already posted about this on the baby name board last night, but want your opinions, too.  For those that have been on the board awhile, you know that my husband and I have had a devil of a time naming this little girl.  Our first daughter's name is Victoria Ann.  We like the name Elise/Elyse as a first name, but have no idea about a middle name.  We tried family names and none of them flowed well.  We tried the "standards" (Leigh, Lynn, Marie, Grace, Faith, Hope, Love, Joy, World Peace) and none of them flowed as well as we would like.  Last name starts with an A and is two syllables.

Ready? Set. Go....

I would try a longer middle name because of the way the stress falls on the second syllable in Elise.

i have nothing, but i just wanted to suggest you stay away from anything that starts with the letter L if her first name is elise (: i think it would sound redundant.. just a thought.

We liked Elise too, but couldn't come up with a mn. We decided to use it as a mn instead, so this little girl will be Adeline Elise.

This surprised me!  It was a very close 2nd to our 1st daughter's name - I mean exactly, spelling and everything.

I love the name Elise, but also prefer it as a middle name.  As a first name, Elisa might give you more / easier flow options for middle names.

My vote is still for World Peace.

I guess I just like Elise better as a MN.  For some reason I just have Lauren Elise in my head as very pretty.

I know it was crossed off your list, but Elise Marie is beautiful IMO.

This is our front runner right now.  I like it.  DH isn't sold.  Maybe it just needs to sit for him.

I love the name Lauren Elise!  It was my best friend's name in high school.  She was/is one of the prettiest women I know.  I think that's part of why I want to "borrow" Elise from her.

One of my very closest friends' name is Elyse Celeste.  I've always loved her name :-)

I really like PP mention of Elise Jane, but I could also get behind Elise June, Elise Paige.  Have you looked at any of the lesser used virtue names like Temperance or Prudence as a middle name option?

If you have a family name that you want to give her, who cares if it doesnt flow.  Seriously think about the people in your life. Do you know everyone's middle name?  I don't so I would rather my kids to grow with a name that means something than sounded nice when they were a baby. That seems to be the only time people pat attention to what the middle name is.

If u really r into "hippie" names as my family likes to call my taste (DD is riley willow) i like elise justice and elise fortune. I knew a girl whos first name was fortune and she was absolutely beautiful inside and out.
