back labor?

I am 39 weeks today and as of yesterday i was dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced. I have been getting this horrible pain in my lower back, specifically lower right. My stomach has also been contracting but it doesn't really line up with the back pain. I am not having any cramp feelings, just this back pain but it also will radiate to my sides occasionally. I also have lots of clear discharge. I'm not sure if this is normal or a sign of back labor?!

Lurking, but I had back labor with my DD, and it did not move towards the front like some people describe it. It stayed in one place, and came and went like a contraction does. Have you tried laying down to see if it gets better, or goes away?

I back labored with my first and it was all in my lower back. It was AWFUL! I could barely stand straight. I never ever felt anything in my front, so when I called my doctor she didn't believe I was in labor because all the pain was coming from my back.

When I got a contraction I could not sit or lay down, I had to pace around the house to get through it. I also had that lightning crotch feeling constanty... sitting was really painful. My exercise ball was my BFF that night!

I finally went to the hospital when I saw blood when I went to the bathroom and they were about every 5 mins apart. I was 5cm when I checked in.
