S+TM's: if you had a rectocele

I asked my midwife about an issue I have been having, more since being pregnant again than before, but definitely ever since delivering vaginally on my back. She said nothing more than, it's not normal, and she'd probably refer me to a uro/proctologist after the delivery of this baby.

So, I have google-diagnosed a rectocele. My question for you who have had one is, did kegels alone treat the injury? Or did you need surgery? Were you told anything about the risk of the condition worsening with a 2nd vaginal delivery?

The whole reason I had brought it up to my midwife was to discuss labor positions and possibly perineal support while pushing, whether that be manual or birthing tub water counter-pressure. She brushed this all off as inconsequential. My intuition is telling me otherwise, though...

Any advise?
