Grilled peanut butter and jelly with bacon

I just had this for lunch. Yum!

I used low sugar strawberry jelly since that's what we had but I think it would be even better with regular grape jelly.

That's all. Just wanted to spread the delicious word

Well I like pb&j and bacon makes everything better in my book...maybe I'll have to give this a try sometime I'm feeling daring.

See my first reaction was "eh, that doesn't sound good" . Then I got to thinking, I love the salty sweet combo so I had to try it. Much better than I thought it was going to be.

To the poster who said it sounds unhealthy. Oh yeah, for sure. The recipe I read actually had you brush the bread with bacon grease. That's a little much for me.

Someone I used to work with once made chocolate bacon cupcakes with maple flavored frosting.  They were the most delicious thing I've ever eaten.

Rox, isn't that just the same as two pieces of buttered toast put together?

maybe... Depending how you look at it. He doesn't toast the bread... And also the layer of butter is not a thin spread. More like a thick layer... He will have like three at a time!

Sure....then maybe add some lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise and you got the best sandwich ever! Haha!
