Bottle weaning

For those of you who have started bottle weaning. How is it going? I haven't started yet but I was thinking about it the other day. Are you doing formula/BM for bottles and WCM for sippy cups? Or do you actually put formula/BM in the sippy? Do you warm the milk in the sippy? Ugh so many questions.

I was thinking about trying to put one of his BM bottles into a sippy. I don't know why but the thought of warm BM in a sippy cup skeeves me out and I don't know why? I suppose it shouldn't because I won't be drinking it! I don't think he'll go for cold BM AND a sippy. What has worked for you all?

I stopped heating her bottles long ago and I won't put formula into a sippy.  I want bottles = formula and sippy = milk or water.  She gets WCM (cold) in a sippy with meals right now.  When I run out of formula, we'll stop with bottles.

We do 2 bottles a day. One first thing in the morning and one at bedtime. Then she has 2 straw cups of formula midmorning and afternoon. I am going to drop the morning bottle an start switching the straw cup to WCM at 11 months. She seems to prefer the straw cup probably because we still use stage 1 nipples which are a lot of work vs a straw.

Edit I haven't warmed BM or formula since 3 months.
