Mega Blocks: How does your DC play?

I noticed that when Oona plays with her Mega Blocks, she only puts together blocks that are similar in color and shape... and I find it interesting. For instance, not only does she snaps a yellow block with another yellow block, but they also have to be the same shape (a single, or 2 row, 3 row, etc.). Last weekend she and her cousin (they're a month apart) were playing and Natalia was totally creating tall skyscraper like objects from the blocks, while Oona just stacked all the yellows with the yellows, all the reds with the reds, all the purples with the purples.... ! She gets upset when I would snap a blue block onto her tower of red blocks... and goes: "No! Stop! Oh, MAN!"

silly Oona. 

Not sure what to make of it but I just think it's interesting!

Sara just stacks. ?Any color or size. ?Sometimes she puts all the square ones together then will stack some single ones on top of those. ?

He's into lining up cars more than matching colors : )

Yeah, exactly! That's how I would stack them too. Just at random.

Hmm... Wow, I actually hadn't thought of it that way!  I thought it was just odd that Oona was sorting her blocks in such a way. haha. Still, I think it's a little wierd.

C doesn't build much yet...  still likes to mostly knock things down.  He does like to match thongs up though... like we have some little wooden concentration game pieces that he matches up.
