I CAN'T get this kid to nap at home...

DD goes to daycare and naps for a good two hours M-F there. On the weekends its a good 2 hour battle that we usually end up losing and just let the nap go.

DD has a cold so I kept her home from daycare today (I work from home). How do you stay consistent with napping at home when the weekends just arent as structured as daycare days are?

Right now she is in her room calling "oh mommy?" or she uses the "I gotta go potty." to get out of her room (she has a gate at her door).

I need help.

We've pretty much given up, here And he doesn't go to daycare so he just doesn't nap. It's not good for him, he's not ready not to nap... but I don't know what to do. So you aren't alone!

We make sure we're at home for nap time on the weekends.  If she doesn't nap, she at least is in her room for 2 hours.  If she just went potty, chances are she doesn't have to go again.

I could have written this exact post (except DD only goes to daycare 2 days a week and doesn't nap the other 3 days at home with me).

We are consistent with the nap times and bed time, so I have no idea what to do. Now it's got to the point where she won't even stay in her room and relax or play. She keeps wanting to do things with me. If I make her stay in her room, she cries the entire time. I don't know what to do either.

DS too!  I used to put a movie on and if he was tired he would fall asleep but that doesn't even work anymore.  Put us in the car anywhere around nap time though and 90% of the time he is out!
