Ds wore one from 7-11m, then wore a 2nd one from 13-16m. ?He had brachycephaly (flattening evenly across the back), which is harder to correct than plagiocephaly (flattening to one side). ?His head is still not "perfect" or "pretty" like his sister's, but looks normal. ?We're glad we did the helmet. ?I'll post before/after pictures later after the kids go to bed. ?FWIW, he tolerated the 2nd helmet MUCH better than the first. ?The first was a Clarren helmet, which had a chin strap & covered his ears. ?It was awful & he seemed really uncomfortable in it. ?The second helmet he hardly seemed to notice. ?
One of my twins has a helmet. He started wearing it in July and is almost all the way corrected already. He doesn't like it, but it went pretty quickly and had really good results. Good luck to you!
