Birthday Party Gift Help!

What would you give to a 6 year old girl? She's in Kindergarten this year. She doesn't really have many of her own toys and mostly plays with her big brother's stuff. My usual go-tos are books or craft / science sets but I don't want to get her anything that requires the assistance of an adult.
