I was able to get an appointment tomorrow at the OBGYN as a "problem" visit because of a history of PCOS, even though Im only 4W 4 days along. I had heard that sometimes women with PCOS have lower levels of progesterone and that can affect the progress of a pregnancy.
I am a FTM and was just wondering what questions I should be asking tomorrow?? Or what bloodwork I should be having done??
Fingers crossed this hurricane doesn't stop me from getting to my appointment!

It sounds like you already know what to ask about - progesterone, hormones etc. Hopefully your Dr knows about your PCOS history? If so he/she should know the next appropriate steps to take. If your PCOS was influenced by weight, maybe ask if you are at a healthy weight for pregnancy, how much you should gain & what you can do to have the healthiest possible pregnancy.
You might end up on progesterone pills/cream through the 1st trimester, but lots of women have to do that so no big worries
Good luck!!
I was just diagnosed with PCOS right before my BFP. My RE has me on progesterone, even though he isn't measuring my progesterone. I think he does it just in case, so you might want to ask. I was never on progesterone for my previous pregnancies, and did carry my DS to term without it, but from what I understand, it doesn't really hurt.
I agree with everyone else, ask for bloodwork for hcg levels and progesterone levels. Make sure to ask for bloodwork 48 hours after your first test so that you can see if your hcg levels are doubling.
Thank you ladies! I took 3 HPTs over a 5 day period, and with each time the pink line got darker and showed up quicker, so hopefully that was a good sign.
I'll keep you posted after the appointment tomorrow if I make it (Go away Tropical Storm Sandy!!)
