i feel like every day I have some form of this conversation:
mommy, will you make me a toy list?
sure honey (start to write down a list of toys w/ the crayon & paper she hands me)
NO! i want you to draw them not write letters
Ok.... (starts to draw some pictures of toys)
NO NO NO mommmy!!!! not THOSE toys!!!
Ok, which toys do you want me to draw?
Um. um. um.
DD, I'm in the middle of cooking dinner. Which toys?
I don't know.
OK, when you know which toys you want me to draw, let me know & I'll come over & draw them.
NOOOOOOO WAHHHHHHHHHHHH crying crying... etc.
This morning this occurred over a picture of a 'spyoscope' which I hesitantly drew, knowing full well it would be drawn incorrectly and then of course there is the "but mommy it doesn't work!?" that inevitably follows some of these drawings, so I have started preemptively explaining that althought we're drawing something & cutting it out, it is still a drawing and won't work...
Sigh...apparently parents not ever doing anything 'right' starts quite young. LOL.
Re: i sure wish i spoke toddler sometimes...
this. So cute
Ha, you're welcome to come over & recreate Doc McStuffins big book of boo-boos to DD's liking then.
