NBR- Facebook help

Is there a way to still be friends with someone but not have any of your actions posted to their newsfeed? I guess they could still go directly to my profile but that would be creepy... There are a couple of people who are driving me NUTS commenting on EVERYTHING I do and it must be stopped! BUT I can't really "unfriend" them because that would be obvious and look bad. Help?

Re: NBR- Facebook help

  • I think you can actually.  For example if its a status update next to the post button tells you who can see it. Click that and check out your options

  • Loading the player...
  • Why "can't" you unfriend them?  Who cares if it looks bad?  I bet they wouldn't even notice!  Yes, you can hide them from your post...when you post something, there's a little "friends" drop down menu, click custom, and you can hide it from certain people.  You can also hide their post, when they post something, there will be a little drop down button and you can hide them from your feed.

  • Yup.  Do you know how to assign your friends to lists?  You have to go to their profile, hit the "friends" button and click on "Acquaintances."  Then you can use the "post to 'Friends Except Acquaintances'" option on new posts and they won't see it.
