My newest paranoia is that my water will break and/or leak, and I won't know it. So if you've "been there", can you tell me what it's like? This is totally TMI, but I have always had discharge on a pretty regular basis, so my undies are usually not particularly dry. I figure when it happens I'll just "know", but any stories would be nice.

My water broke after I'd already been admitted to the hospital. I was laying in the bed, and I felt a little gush...I thought I'd peed myself, but then it happened like three more times! And I tried to 'stop' it (like you can while peeing), but it wouldn't stop because it was my water.
I'm pretty sure you will know, unless you have a slow leak. When in doubt, don't feel afraid or bad about calling or going in to get checked. Better safe than sorry!

Mine broke at home. I was getting off the couch to get my dinner and felt a small gush. I thought I had peed my pants because it wasn't alot. I went to the bathroom and sat down and then had a couple more small gushes that were clear fluid so I knew it was my water. It wasn't until I got to the hospital that I had a huge gush and then there was no doubt

I was paranoid as you when I was pregnant with DS. I had waterproof pads in my bed and all that. My water never broke on its own. They did it at the hospital after I was induced and it was like a warm gush.
