What table foods are you feeding your LO?

Not purees. DD decided she hates purees. I give her some tables foods. She eats graham crackers, cheerios, chunks of banana, chunks of chicken, scrambled eggs and some other stuff I'm forgetting. I know there's a lot more table food style stuff I can give her, I just can't think of anything at the moment.

So tell me what you give your LO or what their favorite is or something? I need ideas.

(Also, thank you to everyone that helped with the formula questions!)

  • Tonight L had Cheerios, and rice and avocado from my sushi. She likes bread and soup, too. This weekend we had egg, potatoes, tomato, and cheese while we were out to eat.

  • I get a bag of frozen mixed veggies (corn, peas, and carrots) and steam them for her. She goes BSC when I put the food on her tray lol.

  • Anything.  Tonight I made a kale, quinoa, balsamic glazed beets dish with a grilled pork tenderloin.  He ate it up!  Don't try and think of baby foods and just introduce them to what you are eating.  We're just avoiding honey, peanuts, and shellfish until he's one.

  • We've never done purees. L eats everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Practically any fruit or veggie you can think of, scrambled or hardboiled eggs, baked fish, BBQ brisket, curry, chicken mole, pickles, pesto, quiche, tacos, all different kinds of cheeses, hummus, Greek yogurt...the list goes on. We make sure her meals consist of good, whole foods, and we don't offer her any dessert, anything fried or greasy, anything with lots of sodium, or any honey...but those are pretty much our only parameters.

Just give her tastes and bites of whatever you're having!

  • Gaabriel loves spaghetti and meat sauce as well as macn cheese homemade. He also eats chicken cut up small and really basically any meat we're eating. He loves eggs, strawberries and bananas all served chunky.

  • I feed Emily everything that we eat. She has had mac-n cheese, enchiladas, hamburgers, chicken, turkey, casserole, tacos, soups, pulled pork, french fries, mashed potatos, ribs, pork chops, briskets, eggs, bread, sausage,bacon....like I said everything we eat. Plus crackers, puffs, yogurt, jello for snacks.

I just cut her up some small peices of whatever we are eatting, she wont hardly eat purees anymore.

  • We've just started doing things other than purees, so he's only had a few things.  He's had mashed potatoes, rice, and cut up bananas...I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of any more.

  • They've had a little bit of most things that we eat.  Bananas, cheerios, grapes (cut up into tiny pieces and peeled), eggs, bread, gnocchi, string cheese, puffs, yogurt bites, french fries (my dad doesn't listen well, they threw those up), sweet potatoes mashed up with some cinnamon when we all went out to lunch...  They stare us down like vultures when we eat so we try to give them little pieces of whatever we're having, and as a result we try to be very conscious of what we eat around them.

Have you tried chunkier purees?  Or yogurt?

  • Pretty much anything soft that we are eating, we will give him. Carrots, fruit, french fries, etc...

  • We also are part of the anything we eat group.  I cook dinner, and then if possible puree some for her.  I also always put some of the pureed stuff into the freezer.  She prefers to get the bulk of her food from purees.  Anything that seems like it wouldn't puree we cut up and give to her as finger food.  If we're eating something she can't eat (buffalo wings for example), I always have the extras in the freezer to pull from.  Along with her puree she always gets some finger food from our plates.  Tonight I'm making spaghetti and meatballs.  I'll either cut up or puree the pasta, and feed her that with a spoon.  Then I'll cut up a meatball and she can feed that to herself.  We'll probably have italian bread with it, and she can have some of that too.

  • Yogurt-organic full fat from trader joes, mozzarella string cheese cut p, small curdled cottage cheese....

eggs, chicken, pork, tacos, beans, stew, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, peppers, green beans, pasta, English muffin pieces...

peaches, apples, pears, mangos, bananas, pumpkin w cinnamon.... Hmmm

We feed our daughter pretty much what we eat nice. Just cut it up small or mash it down. Her favorite right now is organic pumpkin w cinnamon and I sometimes mix it with natural apple sauce... But she loves almost all food, only thing she hates so far is advocado.
